Shackleton Incubator

At Shackleton Incubator we provide expert advice, mentorship, and funding for innovators and entrepreneurs. The program is administrated by highly qualified engineering leaders who got extensive education and expertise in both fields of business and Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering. 

Here we link innovative ideas, entrepreneurs, experts, and investors and help them in creating massively scalable products and services to the international marine industry. Our major industry partners routinely engage with startups who offer solutions in their business area to help them in market evaluation and agile product development and usually interested to negotiate investment and cooperation opportunities.

Learning Center
At DaVinci Learning Center, we provide two types of programs:

First, our standalone training programs that teach modern methods in issue identification and analysis, as well as different innovation techniques like TRIZ, Synectic, KAI, and MBTI by NAME professionals.

Second, our DaVinci projects which provide all above training, in a hands-on environment on one of your companies challenges.  Can not think of a challenge? We will also help you find areas of improvement...

Our UBC NAME Grand Challenge program is designed to achieve two goals:

First, to help student learn practical skills that normally are not included in academic corriculum including research methods, project/time management, problem solving, etc. and

Second, to help industries get access to an external probloem solving engine which normally thinks outside of their box!

The Grand Challenge can address specific industry challenges or an sponsored broad, open-ended challenge in maritime industry like ship recycling.
The magellan prize is designed to boost creative thinking and trigger revolutionary ideas in the field of marine industry.

Modelled after DARPA challenge, each year, students, industry professionals and innovators will compete to propose best ideas in response to a challenge provided by Magellan Prize Program.

The competition is open to teams and organization from all around the world and all age groups including highschool students are welcome to participate. 

The first competition is planned to occure in Spring 2020 in Vancouver.

As a support facility to Psi Incubator and Innovation Center, the PSI (Ψ) Engineering Center provides professional engineering service to internal and external clients. 

Supervised by qualified and experienced engineers, in a fully professional environment, students will take real engineering and support positions and will learn skills which normally are not taught in classrooms like business communication, business ethics, meeting handling, business reporting, and presentation.
